Lifting equipment specialist Demag Cranes and Components has introduced a range of pneumatic rope balancers, designated D-BP, which are appropriate for repetitively lifting loads between 10 and 110kg.

These new models have been developed for high cyclic duty pick-and-place applications, such as assembly lines, logistics, parcel handling and sack moving.

Typically, the balancers are mounted on a jib crane or tracking system to form an ergonomic handling solution.

Using a D-BP balancer allows the operator to lift, lower and move loads with minimum effort, drastically reducing the risk of injury.

The balancer may be used for simple lifting and lowering operations, as well as virtually weightless load movement.

Intelligent load sensing can also be incorporated.
