Robert Hoon has been appointed as the new managing director of Datagraphic after working for seven months as managing director designate.
During that time, Datagraphic said that Hoon familiarised himself with the company and prepared a business plan to take the company forward He has had 22-year career in sales and management, most recently at Bemrose Booth

Kirkpatrick will now concentrate on innovation and marketing and will be working on strategic opportunities for Datagraphic through technological developments, new products and services and he will provide technical and commercial support to the company's distributor network.
The new managing director commented: "Datagraphic has a strong reputation as a commercial security printer in the short-run cheque printing market but it is less known publically about its ground breaking work in other areas, such as paying-in books and transactional documents.
We want to share our expertise in such areas as transpromo printing with our network of print distributors.
Our new business plan will enable this to happen and the company will grow in a sustainable way by offering our customers innovative secure printing systems and dependable services." Hoon continued: "A strong management team is a key goal over the next 12 months.
The business has started this process with the appointment of a new production manager for the digital area and a new customer services manager." He added that the continuing support of the distributor base is also a key objective for the management team who, following a review of customers' needs, will be moving to an account management approach.
A new integrated MIS and CRM system will also start to be implemented this month, with anticipated benefits by the end of the year.
