DCP Systems, in conjunction with Epson, is to stage a series of five roadshows comprising one-day seminars and demonstrations to highlight the major benefits of the Epson based DCP fine art print production process.

The seminars are targets at a wide audience, including digital printers, throughout the UK.

Venues for the event include Sheffield on October 19, Exeter on October 26, Stratford-upon-Avon on November 2, Hexham on November 9 and Sterling on November 25.

The events will run from 10am to 4pm and include seminars on scanning, image manipulation, printing and finishing, running costs, consumables and cost of ownership for a Giclee printing system.

There will also be a session on marketing Giclee varnish output by digital artist Anthony Marshall, who will also talk on how to become a successful self-publishing artist.

Demonstrations organised for the events will cover a range of equipment ideal for digital fine art output.

Epson's Stylus Pro 4000 and 7600 digital inkjet printers are included.

Other equipment enabling DCP to tailor systems to individual requirements includes AIT's Shiraz RIP software, Hotpress's new Jet Mounter rotary laminator and Fotoware's digital asset management software for picture archiving, retrieval, workflow and colour management.

Canon's EOS 300D for image capture and Genuine Fractals software for image enhancement without pixelisation will also be on display.

DCP said it expects the roadshows to be over-subscribed and that anyone wishing to attend on any of the scheduled days should telephone DCP Systems to book a place.

The cost of attendance is £25 per day, including coffee and buffet lunch and all attendees will receive a free tin of DCP's Giclee varnish worth £24.95.
