Xitron, the independent developer and integrator of raster image processors (RIPs) has announced a partnership with Dynagram to bundle Dynastrip with workflow products.
Xitron, the independent developer and integrator of raster image processors (RIPs) has announced a partnership with Dynagram to bundle Dynastrip with workflow products.
In the OEM agreement Xitron is now a licensed distributor for Dynastrip imposition products.
Dynagram will offer support, training, upgrade and installation services to end users through its network of certified trainers.
On-line training is also available.
In response to requests from dealers and end users for Xitron to provide a single source for a complete pre-press workflow package, Xitron will now offer a Dynastrip as a part of the Xenith Extreme bundles available from Xitron dealers.
According to Xitron, Xenith Extreme still supports virtually any off-the-shelf imposition package, providing an open and flexible system that allows customers to choose the components of their pre-press workflow.
By offering Dynastrip Xitron believes it allows customers the option of acquiring the entire solution from Xitron, or building a bespoke configuration for themselves.
Xitron said it chose to offer the Dynastrip solutions for several reasons.
The superior imposition application provides state-of-the-art tools for configuring imposition layouts.
Many pre-press operators prefer the intuitive user interface.
In addition, the optional tools available from Dynagram are unmatched by the competition and include the automation option ideal for publishing and newspaper production, the company continued.
Furthermore, Dynagram is a leader in progressive development and adoption of JDF technology enabling Xitron to achieve its goals with JDF in Xenith Extreme.
Xitron believes JDF is an integral part of Xenith Extreme's future, and partnering with vendors like Dynagram who provide JDF enabled products is essential for successful implementation of this new technology.
The Xitron product will use the JDF technology to allow users to fully automate their imposition when using DynaStrip with Xenith.
"We look forward to making the integration and installation of an all-digital workflow easier for our customers and our dealers," explained Jeffrey Nelson, Xenith workflow product manager.
"We are pleased to partner with Dynagram in this effort and for implementing features using JDF technology," he added.
Dynagram has been a close Xitron partner for some time and this development was a natural progression of that relationship, he said.
"Xitron and Dynagram have formed a solid partnership, from both a business and technological standpoint.
This agreement attests to our continuous commitment to bringing a robust and easy-to-use end-to-end worflow to Xitron's dealers and customers, with sophisticated JDF-enabled imposition capabilities," said Fran?ois Guerard, president of Dynagram.
