Digital imposition specialist Dynagram has released Dynastrip 4.0 for Windows.
Dynastrip's JDF import pre-interface ensures that all the job parameters extracted from the JDF file are isolated from the application or user defaults.
The resulting imposition can be outputted in any format, including PDF and JDF, said Dynagram.
Pre-press operators can also validate and complete the missing layout information beforehand, for example, a more precise positioning of the signature, page bleed control, creep adjustment and addition of marks, for example.
All are settings that are not required for the estimation process but have an impact on print production and overall quality, added the company.
The imposition information is added to the original JDF file, which is then forwarded, along with a PDF marks file, to be executed by Celebrant.
According to Dynagram, the result is a streamlined, tangible and open collaboration between MIS and pre-press which, until recently, was a concept rather than a reality.
The benefit to Celebrant users is that they have a true means by which to ensure job integrity at all times.
Tracey-Lee Batsford, the general manager of pre-press solutions at Dynagram, said: "We are pleased to offer Fujifilm's customers tighter integration between MIS and their preferred workflow.
The goal was to bring two teams even closer together - production planners and pre-press operators - to enable printers' operations to be even more efficient, saving literally hours of time spent in job creation." Andy Bain, the workflow solutions manager at Fujifilm Electronic Imaging, said: "Our collaboration with Dynastrip offers Celebrant Suite customers more flexibility in how they submit pre-press jobs.
The end result is that jobs submitted from a management information system can be automatically processed and output through Celebrant Suite, saving time and reducing operator intervention to a minimum.".
