Delphax Technologies has claimed its best Drupa performance with verified sales leads were up by 80 per cent.

Delphax Technologies has claimed its best Drupa performance with verified sales leads were up by 80 per cent.

The company, which is based in Crawley, West Sussex (UK) said that compared with drupa 2000 it had a 30 per cent increase in visitors to the stand for this year's show.

"We monitored very carefully the people who called on the stand, and discounted from our figures those who were not seriously looking at the technology we supply," says UK managing director Ian Jaggard.

"The leading countries in terms of numbers of visitors were Germany, US, UK and France but we've had serious enquires from companies in 54 different countries, so it really was an international spread," he added.

Jaggard said much interest was shown in the new CR2000 continuous feed monochrome printer, which was launched at the show.

"This is the fastest monochrome digital press in the world today and it really caught the imagination of companies considering moving into digital output, or upgrading existing digital facilities.

We've also kept to the promise we made in 2003 of launching a printer at Drupa 2004 that was 50 per cent faster and that is exactly what we did with the introduction of the new CR2000," he commented.
