It is a full colour press with a high level of automation and Screen expects to confirm the first UK customers for the machine in the next two months.

Brian Filler, managing director of Screen UK said: "This press is designed as a professional production machine to give users high quality results at speed and with a fast return on investment.

We have combined the best features of conventional offset and with the speed, flexibility and automation of digital presses.

It's the press the market has been asking for." The TruePress 344 is an A3 and above digital offset press featuring process-less plate material.

With a claimed maximum printing speed of 7,000 A3 sheets per hour it produces a 500 sheet single-sided job from start to finish in less than 15 minute with a size range of 9cm x 14cm to 34cm x 47cm).

Plates can be imaged at 2,400 dots per inch (dpi) resolution using traditional screening.
