Polygraph Service, in Stavropol, Southern Russia has just installed Russia's first Screen eight-up Platerite 8600 CTP system driven by Trueflow workflow to expand and update its range of printing services.

HGS Centre, Moscow supplied the system to Polygraph.

Over the last few years, Polygraph has rapidly expanded and today employs around 100 staff.

Previously a B2 facility, Polygraph has moved to B1 with the Platerite 8600 and a new MAN Roland 700 press to give it and its customers more flexibility.

Vladimir Vasilenko, deputy director general at Polygraph Service, commented: "We chose Platerite 8600 as we are expanding rapidly and want a fast and reliable CTP system that produces high quality results.

The automation option on the Platerite together with the Trueflow software has increased the productivity and accuracy of our workflow and provides us with the best foundation to expand our business." The Platerite 8600, an eight-page modular high-speed thermal platesetter, delivers enhanced productivity and increased flexibility said Screen.

With the ability to image plate sizes from A3 to B1 size the Platerite 8600 is a multi purpose unit that has the option of being fitted with automatic plate loaders to increase productivity further.

Trueflow, Screen's PDF/Postscript workflow, is designed both to drive optimised proofing, CTP and digital presses and to create an automated and streamlined network workflow.

HGS Centre have enjoyed a good relationship with Polygraph for around five years.

Dmitri Arbuzov, pre-press deputy general director at HGS Centre added: "Polygraph was keen to install Trueflow as a result of experiencing an onsite demo first hand.".
