Simon Breeze, the sales and marketing director of Colne VCS, said: "We see the provision of easy to use and intelligent on-line services for our customers as a major USP and an important element in growing our business in the future." The investment in remote and on-line CRM services coincides with an upgrade to a Screen thermal Platerite B2 4300 CTP system complete with on-line processor and plate stacker.
In addition, Colne VCS has adopted Screen's Spekta hybrid screening that is claimed to combine the ease of use and consistency of conventional AM screening, with the quality of FM screening.
The company supplies a design and print service, including cardboard engineering and digital design, to a UK-based corporate and agency client base primarily in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic and automotive sectors.
"Following our investment in Screen technology we can now offer our customers a 360-degree service for the production of marketing support materials, from initial copy through to complete production and distribution.
I am confident that our fully Screen-enabled job submission, workflow, approval and plate production system will comfortably handle anything we can throw at it.
We chose Screen over other suppliers as it is known for reliability and ease of knowledge transfer.
We have run Screen thermal equipment for five years under a facilities management agreement and were happy with its reliability and robustness", explained Breeze.
