Cibergraf has installed the first two Screen Truepress 344 digital offset presses in Europe at Spanish companies Estudios Uriarte and Sprint Digital.

Cibergraf has installed the first two Screen Truepress 344 digital offset presses in Europe at Spanish companies Estudios Uriarte and Sprint Digital.

The installations are said to be a significant step for Cibergraf, Screen's exclusive distributor in Spain.

Both installations were smooth and successful, confirming the benefits of the new press in terms of speed, reliability and printing stability, said Screen.

Estudios Uriarte, based in Vitoria, is a pre-press company working for agencies to produce posters, displays and all material for shows, exhibitions and events as well as subcontracting some jobs to small printing companies.

Having used Screen equipment since its beginning, Estudios Uriarte moved in to large format digital printing some years ago and now, with the new Truepress 344, can do the whole job themselves - controlling the overall quality and reinforcing customer fidelity, said Screen.

Located in Bilbao, Sprint Digital is a digital printing company operating several toner printers primarily from Xerox, producing short run prints such as restaurant menus and name cards.

With the growth of the company, many larger jobs had to be subcontracted to offset printers due to the high cost of toner printing.

Sprint Digital said that it has found the Truepress 344 the ideal system to solve that problem, due to the low running cost, high speed and efficiency in printing 500 to 6,000 copies.

The four-colour A3 Screen Truepress 344 incorporates the latest in imaging and plate technology, as well as automation and quality control.

Using the latest process-less thermal plates and MALD (multi-array laser diode), which can expose four plates in five minutes, plate imaging with the 344 is remarkably fast, claimed Screen.
