Dainippon Thermal CTP For Imega Print
Imega Print who service design and marketing companies, has bought its first Screen B1 thermal Dainippon Platerite 8000 CTP system with Trueflow workflow software.
By reducing imaging speed to 14 plates (1,148mm x 1,143mm) an hour at 2,400 dots per inch (dpi) and not including integral punching, Screen believes it has produced a cost-effective system that enables more printers to benefit from the flexibility of variable large format plate imaging.
Recognising that a high level of automation is a key factor in maximising CTP production and user's profitability, Screen said that it offers a range of scalable automation choices for all their CTP devices.
The Platerite Ultima 16000S can be configured with various semi-automatic and fully-automatic plate loading and unloading options and cassettes, allowing users to tailor a system to suit their specific production needs.
Designed for printers with multi-format four, eight and 16-page sheet or web presses, the Platerite Ultima 16000S is said to be easily upgraded in the field to the 23 plates per hour performance of the original Platerite 16000.
Integrated punching is also a field upgrade as and when businesses needs change.
First customer shipments of the Platerite 16000S in Europe will start this month, added the company.
