The Ultima gives us the flexibility to image a wide range of plate sizes and together with Trueflow 3; we have streamlined our processes, whilst still achieving a very high quality of print.
One of the main reasons we chose Trueflow 3 is that it is extremely easy to work with and easy to understand.
In addition, Riteportal allows our customers to remotely prepare and deliver error-free, production-ready certified PDF files tailored to our specifications.
We are looking forward to our customers using Riteportal and accelerating our production workflow further, as we will no longer be tied-in by time constraints and distance problems that comes with working with national and international clients, and ensures excellent results of the highest quality." Other deciding factors were flexibility and the freedom to choose any plate without being tied in to an often restrictive consumables contract, added Screen.
Delivered and installed by Wifac Belgium, the Platerite 16000 will be used with various plates.
The Platerite 16000 is said to offer reliable CTP output at 28 plates an hour.
Using GLV technology, the thermal platesetter has an imaging head with 512 individual laser beams, ensuring great productivity, whilst maintaining remarkably high output quality.
The Platerites offer in-line punching and on-line processing and can image a range of thermal plates and the new chemistry-free plates becoming available, added Screen.
Trueflow 3 is a major component within Screen's Trueflownet range of pre-press and customer-relationship management software, which can all be linked by JDF job tickets.
Screen said that Trueflow 3 introduces a new 'job-flow' user interface, with multi-lingual support, on-line help and 'smart' troubleshooting.
Using the JDF capability for Ripping and job ticketing, Trueflow 3 can be integrated in to third party systems, aided by the range of output files including one-bit screened TIFF, Ripped PDF, PDF/X-1a and Screen's flattened Outline PDF.
Users can further integrate their pre-press workflows with customer workflows using Screen's other new web-enabled customer relations modules, including Riteportal, Ritetransfer for transfer of customer files, Riteonline for customer print ordering and Riteapprove for proof approval, added the company.
