Screen CTP And Workflows Boost Austrian Production

Druckerei Janetschek and Neumarkter Druckerei, both high quality printing houses in Austria, have upgraded their production facilities by investing in Screen's top of the range workflow and CTP systems.

Janetschek and Neumarkter made the transition from film to plate with Screen's B1 Platerite 8600 and Platerite 8100 respectively, driven by Trueflow workflow with SPEKTA screening.

Supplied by MAN Roland Austria, the Platerites have saved both companies production time and increased efficiency.

Druckerei Janetschek offers a complete printing service from re-touching files to litho printing, digital printing and finishing and delivery.

Its customer base embraces local advertising agencies, governmental bodies and publishers.

Neumarkter Druckerei offers high quality printing services, printing labels, books, reports for a variety of commercial clients, including toy manufacturer Roco and energy drink suppliers Dark Dog.

The post-sales support from MAN Roland has been excellent, as the company has been quick to respond and has helped us at every step of the way." Both Platerites are imaging Kodak plates, for use on four-colour Heidelberg and MAN Roland presses.

The Platerite 8600 is claimed to offer reliable high quality CTP output at 20 plates an hour and the Platerite 8100 at eight plates an hour.

With the SAL (single-cassette autoloader) option, users benefit from continual plate feeding with automated loading of up to 50 plates without operator involvement, said Screen.

The Platerites offer in-line punching and on-line processing and can image a range of thermal plates and the new chemistry-free plates now becoming available.
