Nottingham printer and carton manufacturer, Fine Colour Packaging has invested in its first B1 thermal computer-to-plate system with Dainippon Screen's Platerite 8000.
The triple-cassette Screen MA-L 16000 is the latest in a range of plate handling systems introduced by Screen designed to maximise automation and productivity.
A compact device, the cassette is claimed to enable up to 210 plates of three different formats from 450mm x 370mm up to 1,470mm x 1,165mm with varying thicknesses from 0.15mm to 0.40mm to be held on-line.
Rob Hageman, Screen's product manager, said: "Using our reliable plate handling systems printers can go home and leave their CTP devices producing plates all night with the confidence that nothing will go wrong.
Furthermore, the Platerite Ultima 16000 can be left unattended for even longer periods by using our Remote Monitoring System (RMS), which automatically sends a text message (or email) to nominated recipients when the plate level gets low.".
