Dainippon Thermal CTP For Imega Print
Imega Print who service design and marketing companies, has bought its first Screen B1 thermal Dainippon Platerite 8000 CTP system with Trueflow workflow software.
The Platerite Ultima 24000, only just launched at Ipex 06, caters for sheet-fed and web presses and images a maximum format plate of 1,750mm X 1,400mm at a claimed 29 plates an hour complete with in-line punching.
In addition, the ability to image two B1 plates simultaneously makes it the fastest B1 platesetter in the world and ideal to support multi-colour perfecting presses, said Screen.
At a claimed 58 B1 plates an hour, a full set of B1 punched plates can be produced for a 12-unit press in 15 minutes.
Bruno De Bue, a director of SB + said: "This investment supports our strategy to develop our activity in the large format market and to increase the quality and the quantity of our plate production.
Screen's reputation for imaging quality and operational reliability was an important factor in the decision, backed by Fujifilm plates and support." The Platerite Ultima is already in production at SB + Imprimerie, driven by a Trueflow DTC connected to a Rampage 1-bit-tiff workflow and imaging LHPI and LHPJE plates for two Planeta and four Heidelberg Speedmaster presses.
