Screen is holding a series of open days at Inca Digital's HQ in Cambridge (UK) over the next few months.

Inca will showcase the Spyder 150 and Screen has added the large format Spyder 150 inkjet printer to its portfolio of digital production systems.

Offering the Inca product is part of Screen's strategy to provide its commercial offset and digital printer customers with new business opportunities.

Bui Burke, sales manager at Screen UK, said: "Our customers are looking to diversify their businesses and these events are an excellent way to demonstrate the impressive capabilities and potential of the Inca printers.

These fit in to any commercial print environment with ease and allow companies to enter the exhibition, advertising and retail graphics arena with a digital option." The Spyder 150 printer produces graphics up to 1.5m x 1m in size and is said to be suitable for point-of-sale, display material and lenticular graphics.

With flexible speed options to match the output requirements, the Inca Spyder 150 is suitable for a wide range of work, added Screen.

Its high gloss finish and ability to print directly on substrates up to 30mm means that for many jobs no special coatings, lamination or varnishing are required, added the company.

Screen believes that inkjet technology is suitable for substrates with uneven surfaces, so the printer can achieve results even on single faced corrugated board and foam.

Every Inca printer uses UV inks and has the capability to print directly on many different materials, including paper and board, wood such as MDF and plywood, lenticular lenses, flexible and rigid plastic, metals and glass.
