The top digital press and professional printer manufacturers and suppliers are all supporting this year's Digital Print World (London Olympia 2, October 26-28) according to show organisers IIR.

Many of them will be launching their latest presses, options and associated software for the first time in the UK or Europe added IIR.

Apex Digital Graphics will show the Ryobi 340X-DI press for the first time in the UK while Screen's Truepress 344 A3+ digital offset press will also make its UK commercial debut.

Nexpress Solutions will launch an array of its new digital print systems, including colour, coating and glossing enabled by the fifth imaging unit on the Kodak Nexpress 2100 press.

Xeikon too will be debuting the X-800 digital front-end built specifically for the new PPML format.

A B Dick's top attraction will be the waterless, small format KBA 46 Karat digital press featuring Presstek's Profire imaging technology.

Hewlett Packard will show the Indigo 3050 and Indigo s2000 presses, targeted at screen printers and converters, which feature HP's Production Flow system to automate and manage workflow.

There will be the new Xerox Docucolor 8000 demonstrated by Xeretec and from Konica Minolta the Bizhub Pro 1050 and two versions of the H/V Document Production System.

Following the installation of the UK's first Xeikon 5000 five-colour press, digital printer 1st Byte will be launching its digital trade print service for printers at the show and presents its rapid creative print service for print buyers, including a facility for short run folders using in-house die-cutting to shorten turn around orders to one or two days.

For those visitors wanting to solve two of the biggest headaches for users of all digital printing technology Xeikon will run a series of workshops on its stand.

One is how to produce accurate quotations within seconds, whilst the other is to clean up databases ready for trouble-free variable data printing applications.

In its own 90-minute 'master classes' Pira will focus on pre-press for digital printing, digital printing for books, magazines, newspapers, transactional and other commercial printing and business strategies in new and emerging markets for digital printing.

IIR said that Digital Print World is a multi-faceted event giving visitors the opportunity to see the latest digital printing technology and techniques and to learn about its business potential.
