The move to a larger venue for Digital Print World, the digital print technology exhibition, has attracted top names in the industry.

The move to a larger venue for Digital Print World, the digital print technology exhibition, has attracted top names in the industry.

Digital Print World 05 is already said to be 80 per cent booked and 100 companies will be showing the latest developments in the sector when the show, which runs from October 18-20, opens its doors.

As digital print's growth accelerates, the third Digital Print World has grown in size to reflect the surge of investment in the industry, said the show's event manager, Richard Gayle.

With more exhibitors and more technology, Digital Print World will provide visitors with a forum to see an array of digital print applications, participate in expert forums and seminars and get first hand advice on technical and business issues.

Gayle added that many leading industry suppliers have already committed to the show, including AB Dick, Canon, Duplo, Hewlett Packard, Kodak Graphic Communications Group, Konica Minolta, Litho Supplies, Quark, Xeikon and Xeretec Group.

First time exhibitors include Bodoni Systems, Optichrome Computer Systems and Satori Software, who will be unveiling their latest digital print systems at the event.

The gamut of hardware, software and consumables will be on show, including workflow and design software, digital presses and printers, e-commerce systems, large format inkjets and consumables and finishing equipment.

Building on the interactive formula at Digital Print World 2004, this year's event will feature a range of seminars and masterclasses throughout the show, with industry experts and digital printers tackling all the issues of digital print business, including the benefits and potential of variable data, personalisation and digital marketing.

Software developers will be grouped together in the Software Developers Village.

Gayle also pointed out that the demand for large format print has grown as the technology to produce it is now highly cost-effective, flexible, easy to use and delivers stunning quality.

There will be a Large Format Trail in the show this year, highlighting the major suppliers focussing on large format digital technology and applications.

Gayle concluded: "The response from existing and new exhibitors shows our decision to move to Earls Court was right.

We can show more technology, give easier access to visitors and exhibitors and include a lot more special events within the show to give visitors valuable information to support their digital strategies.".
