Digital Show Draws 5,000 Visitor Registrations
Digital Print World's (DPW) appeal this year has been reflected in the high level of companies pre-registering to visit the show in London October 26-28.
Canon, Kodak, Renz, Danwood, Watkiss and Duplo have all substantially increased their stand space due to the volume of equipment they have to display - including several new product launches, said IIR.
Because many suppliers had a successful Ipex they are expressing their confidence in the buoyant digital print market by maximising their presence at DPW 06, added the company.
Held at Earls Court, London (UK) from October 17-19, the show is now in its fourth year and it brings together a spectrum of visitors from commercial and digital printers alongside government, financial institutions, retailers and agencies.

Top Names To Gather At Digital Print World
The top digital press and professional printer manufacturers and suppliers are all supporting this year's Digital Print World (London Olympia 2, October 26-28) according to show organisers IIR.
IIR explained that 80 per cent of visitors last year said DPW 06 is the ideal place to keep up-to-date with industry trends and that visitors were so impressed with last year's show that 84 per cent said they would return to DPW in 2006.
According to a report by Pira International, the worldwide digital print market is set to be worth EUR124.8 billion by 2015.
The report predicts that from 2005 to 2015, more digital reproduction devices will be sold than any other technology.
First time exhibitors this year already include A2M Services, Babs UK, Dot Line Graphics, Friedheim International, Info-Tec Distribution and Premier Paper.
In addition to all the leading digital printers and presses, the range of hardware, software and consumables will be on show, including workflow and design software, e-commerce systems, large format inkjet machines, consumables and finishing equipment.
Richard Gayle, IIR's DPW event manager, said: "DPW 06 has all the ingredients for another successful show.
Great companies will be demonstrating the very latest in digital print technologies and techniques, much of it making its commercial debut at the show.
We have planned another action-packed event and will be revealing more details in the coming months." Visitors can register now for free entrance to the show at the DPW website.
Jo Watkiss, marketing manager at Watkiss Automation Sales, said: "The digital print market is actively growing and DPW is the premier exhibition covering this market.
We have a wide range of systems for collating and booklet making that are ideally suited to this show and it is also an ideal opportunity to take orders for our new Watkiss Powersquare machine, which was first previewed at Ipex.
The Powersquare makes books from digital print and offers double the capability of anything else on the market." Pat Holloway, UK marketing manager for, Kodak's Graphic Communications Group, commented: "We are experiencing strong demand across our range of digital technologies, so a focused showcase like DPW is a great opportunity to highlight Kodak's value proposition in this important area.
It will also be an ideal occasion for us to demonstrate how vital it is to look beyond the hardware, by showing the benefits customers can gain from implementing integrated workflow systems and from applications such as web-to-print." Sales manager at Screen UK, Bui Burke, added: "As run lengths shorten, investment in digital presses that can deliver high quality short run print up to several thousand copies quickly and easily is accelerating.
DPW is the perfect venue to demonstrate the awesome productivity and profit generating potential of the market proven Screen Truepress 344 DI press, supported by our latest web-to-print Riteportal SE software." Meanwhile, Adam Poole, head of professional marketing at Canon UK and Ireland, said: "Our objective at DPW this year is to launch more of the new technology we showed at Ipex.
The two exhibitions work hand in hand for us and our attendance at these events gives the industry a chance to once again see our commitment to it.
Our new product range is one of the best in the industry and includes the Image Press 7000 and new wide format and software products that visitors to DPW will be able to order." Marian Thomasson, marketing manager at Danwood, explained: "By exhibiting at DPW Danwood intends to continue raising awareness of the Danwood name in the professional print marketplace and especially with businesses in the UK's south east.
By partnering with key software companies, such as Creo and ROI, as well as major hardware suppliers, such as Konica Minolta and HP, Danwood is able to offer a full service to help companies to make more money from the use of digital print." And she continued: "Danwood will be showing the new C6500 from Konica Minolta, as well as a small selection of smaller digital print equipment aimed at the office market.
DPW is an essential part of our marketing plans as it is the biggest show focussing on digital print.".
