Colour Proofer Adds Colour Consistency For Posters
Reprographic specialist, Art of Repro, has added a DuPont Cromalin Largo 4406 to its existing DuPont equipment to enter the poster market.
The Cromalin b2 is an advanced implementation of Piezo Array proofing technology, which has been developed by DuPont specifically to ensure continuity in proofing quality and color accuracy.
Driven by a PostScript level 3 RIP, incorporating DuPont's well known color management software, it uses expanded gamut inks to create a stochastically screened image onto specially developed substrates.
Continuity has always been the philosophy behind the Cromalin range since its inception 30 years ago,? states Jean-Pierre Richard, Marketing Manager Proofing for DuPont Imaging Technologies.
?From the original analogue Cromalin to the present day digital systems, we have delivered consistent proofing to an established, print relevant, standard using the most cost-effective technology available.
The Cromalin b2 is a continuation of this philosophy, which will make digital contract proofing to Eurostandard specification available to a wider audience, including print buyers and design agencies.
Many of our competitors have developed Color Management Systems which drive DOD printers to simulate contract proofing.
Having evaluated this technique, DuPont decided that a new approach to Piezo Array Print Technology was required, involving all critical elements in the process, to provide the accuracy, consistency and repeatability needed by the industry.
