Agfa Colour Proofing's Total Systems Integration
London's Clement and Foster has built upon its recent £0.5m investment in a new press and CTP equipment, with the installation of Agfa Grand Sherpa digital colour proofing.
Like most other print markets, speed of turn-around and price are the main drivers.
However, for customers like ours, colour consistency and a high print resolution is vital for big campaigns where brand control is all-important." He continued: "Our task was to find a machine that was fast, economical, reliable and provided high quality colour and print.
Over the years we had purchased many DuPont products and trusted them and the company's technology implicitly.
We made DuPont our first port of call and, having seen a demonstration of the Cromalin Largo 4406's capabilities, we were sold." Nellist explained: "Installed in January the Cromalin Largo 4406 is the perfect balance between production efficiency, print and colour accuracy.
We have a business reputation based entirely on quality, so the colour consistency provided by the Cromalin Largo was not only nice but also essential in mirroring our other services and providing the dependability that our customers expect and demand from Art of Repro." And he added: "Since installation, our poster business has really taken off, with customers enjoying the consistency and peace of mind that DuPont equipment provides.
It has also offered a new dimension to our service capability and crucially, provided a valuable new revenue stream." Over the last four years Art of Repro has carved a niche for itself in London, using its DuPont equipment to cater for the special colour requirements of the city's main publishing and packaging repro houses, said the company.
Nellist explained: "We enable our customers to get these colours right first time, by using our range of analogue and digital Cromalin colour proofers to exactly match the ink characteristics on press - providing peace of mind and often saving them considerable time and money on expensive reprints.
We feel that our Cromalin Largo 4406 is a natural extension of this DuPont technology and that DuPont is the ideal partner with which to extend our services and drive the business forward.
We are very happy with our purchase, and look forward to continued success.".
