The deal enables Heidelberg to offer a greater degree of added value to its customers via a high-speed, variable data printing (VDP) capability provided by Domino's product portfolio - which includes the recently introduced Domino On Demand VDP, said the inkjet company.
At the same time, the agreement will strengthen Domino's global reach in the post-press market, bolstering its position in the finishing sector, it added.
Domino will be responsible for after-sales, once the integrated systems are installed.
As well as the Domino On Demand, these will also include the Bitjet binary printer and Domino's A Series, continuous inkjet product.
Nigel Bond, group managing director of Domino Printing Sciences plc, commented: "We are delighted to be partnering with the leading industry supplier Heidelberg in a venture that is certain to be of great mutual benefit to our companies.".
