The company's marketing manager Sheila Richardson said: "From day one, there was a great deal of activity around the stand and, from the quality of visitor enquiries we received, there seems to be a significant and genuine interest in our products.

I have read a number of articles both during and since Drupa that have commented on the excitement and interest surrounding variable data printing at the show and, judging by Domino's experience in Hall 15, I can certainly back this up." David Ellen, the director of Domino's Commercial Printing Division, is equally upbeat.

He commented: "Drupa has been an enormous success for us.

Not only have we closed several key orders, including one for 15 of our C6000 outer case coding machines but the finalisation of our OEM agreement with Heidelberg at the start of the show has really laid the foundations upon which we wish to build further business." He continued: "The opportunities for expanding upon agreements such as this are endless and we see this as being key to the future of Domino's continuing success." Drupa also saw Domino sell one of its Jetarray, continuous inkjet variable data systems, to Inkfish in the UK.

Steve Garbett, Inkfish's operations director placed the order, which includes the possibility of two further units in the next 15 months.

Inkfish will use the Jetarray primarily on a new polywrap line, as well as on an envelope inserter.

Additionally, DB Hess of Illinois, USA, ordered an equipment package comprising Domino's Editor GT Controller, Jetarray continuous inkjet printer and a Bitjet binary printer - all of which were shipped directly from Domino's stand after the exhibition.

The equipment will be used on the company's Sheridan 850 saddle stitcher to offer inside and outside inkjet printing capability, as well as the flexibility to print graphics, true type fonts and barcodes.

Another US based Domino customer, Royle Printing of Wisconsin, purchased two Bitjet 212 inkjet printers at the show, for use in a similar inside and outside inkjet printing application.

The Bitjets will be used on a new Muller Martini Prima B Plus, 12-pocket saddle stitcher and will work in conjunction with the company's existing Domino Jetarrays.
