Digital Ink For Flexible Food Packs Has Low Taint
In response to demand from customers, Domino Printing Sciences has launched an ink formulation for use in its flagship A-Series continuous ink jet printer range.
The printer has been in production since 1998 and is used in applications such as mailing, binding, games management, finishing, tickets, tags and labels and postal.
The company said that since the A-Series had been launched, it had made significant improvements in the production process that now enable Domino to produce double the original production volume of printers with the same number of people.
That amounts to an 80% reduction in the time required to build an A-Series machine compared to earlier models and has resulted in a much faster delivery to customers.
This increased production performance has been achieved through internal efficiency, improved supplier relations and enhanced product design and configuration said Domino.
As Dave Cope, group manufacturing director commented: "The key change over the past six years has been the constant improvement in production efficiency, which has increased the rate of workflow from order intake through to despatch.
This is a key milestone for Domino.
To celebrate such an outstanding achievement in only six years is testament to the team effort of Domino staff and our distributors worldwide.".
