Domino's Inkjet Finds Niche With Software Printer
Beshara Press, the niche printing company for the software publishing industry, has invested in a Domino A400 to produce unique numbers on the back cover of manuals.
On Demand comprises estimating, pre-press, proofing and printing modules and has been described by the company as the complete variable data print system.
It allows the end user to add variable data capability to a job and, at the same time, save time and set up costs by allowing the pre-press operator to design, layout and proof the job long before it reaches final print production claimed Domino.
The company will demonstrate its Bitjet+ printer, an enhanced version of its Bitjet binary printer.
The A-Series, which the company claimed is the world's best-selling continuous inkjet printer, will complete the company's line-up at the show.
Based on Domino's Bitjet 212 binary printer and the result of continuous product development, the Bitjet+ features a number of key design enhancements that further increase efficiency and reduce job turnaround time for users said the company.

Dave Mardon, Domino's commercial manager said: "As the biggest narrow web event on the American continent, Labelexpo represents the ideal arena to exhibit On Demand.
Indeed, given that this will be the first time the printer will be showcased at a major North American show, we are certain that its capabilities will create quite a stir among visitors." Jonathan Phillips, director of Domino's North American OEM operations said he anticipates great interest among both press manufacturers and other manufacturers of web control equipment.
"Our Om Demand technology takes a traditional press and adds digital printing at a very competitive price," he said.
