The commercial printing division of Domino, will exhibit the latest product from its range of variable data print systems at Labelexpo Americas - the ON Demand system.

The commercial printing division of inkjet printer manufacturer Domino, will exhibit the latest products from its range of variable data print systems at the Labelexpo Americas exhibition in Chicago (USA) in September - the On Demand system It comprises estimating, pre-press, proofing and printing modules and will be prominent on the Domino stand - number 1647

On Demand comprises estimating, pre-press, proofing and printing modules and has been described by the company as the complete variable data print system.

It allows the end user to add variable data capability to a job and, at the same time, save time and set up costs by allowing the pre-press operator to design, layout and proof the job long before it reaches final print production claimed Domino.

The company will demonstrate its Bitjet+ printer, an enhanced version of its Bitjet binary printer.

The A-Series, which the company claimed is the world's best-selling continuous inkjet printer, will complete the company's line-up at the show.

Based on Domino's Bitjet 212 binary printer and the result of continuous product development, the Bitjet+ features a number of key design enhancements that further increase efficiency and reduce job turnaround time for users said the company.

Domino plans to exhibit its machines along with an AB Graphics Rewinder.

Domino's Editor GT line controller will be showing its read and print and line scan capabilities in conjunction with OEM partner Axode Corporation.

Additionally, Domino's stand will include a dryer from Research Inc, which will integrate Domino's digital printing capabilities using its range of dryer assisted, low solvent inks.

Dave Mardon, Domino's commercial manager said: "As the biggest narrow web event on the American continent, Labelexpo represents the ideal arena to exhibit On Demand.

Indeed, given that this will be the first time the printer will be showcased at a major North American show, we are certain that its capabilities will create quite a stir among visitors." Jonathan Phillips, director of Domino's North American OEM operations said he anticipates great interest among both press manufacturers and other manufacturers of web control equipment.

"Our Om Demand technology takes a traditional press and adds digital printing at a very competitive price," he said.
