Domino UK will be exhibiting its S200HR laser at the UK's Glassex 2005 exhibition (Birmingham NEC, March 13-16).

Domino believes the S200HR sets the standard for coding the BSI Kite Mark, variable text and company logos on to glass panes prior to the toughening process.

It is claimed that it has the smallest laser head in its class (612mm x 167mm x 100mm), which coupled with its light-weight (less than nine kilos), makes it one of the easiest coders to install.

The sealed IP55-rated laser head and controller is claimed to make the laser suitable for the glass industry, producing codes that are 100 per cent accurate and permanent with readability said Domino, whilst CO2 laser technology combined with pressurised air-cooling ensures reliability even in the harshest environments.

The S200HR can be fully integrated in to the automatic arrissing process ensuring efficiency is not compromised.

Full installation packages are available for both new and existing equipment across all arrissing equipment suppliers.

The 20 -watt micro laser technology with optimised optics and software gives the S200A the ability to code on to coated glass with a print area of 50mm x 50mm added the company.

Trevor Nichols, Domino's UK laser business manager, commented: "The S200HR is the result of understanding our customers' needs and further developing existing field-proven technology.

The system is simple and easy to use with built-in features to simplify integration and the code set up process." The Domino stand at Glassex will be H115.
