Domino Printing Sciences plc, will be exhibiting broad inkjet applications at the Interpack exhibition - hall 15, stand 15 B02 - from April 21-27 Demonstrating its applications via Domino Group companies, Sator and Wiedenbach, Domino will exhibit key products from its portfolio of coding and marking technologies that offer users a total systems package for their respective industries

Domino's range of fluids used with a variety of substrates and environmental conditions that are currently used in a range of applications including food and confectionery, beverage, pharmaceutical and health and beauty will also be on show.

Foremost in Domino's line-up will be its A-Series range of continuous ink jet printers, which have been developed to offer a wide range of reliable coding.

Domino believes that the A-Series is the world's best-selling continuous inkjet printer with more than 50,000 installations worldwide.

The A-Series range at Interpack will include the A300 continuous inkjet printer, which prints up to four lines of text with a variety of print formats that include logos, bar codes, dot codes, automatic serial numbering, batch coding and real time clocks said Domino.

Alongside the A-Series range, Domino will demonstrate products from its environmentally friendly S-Series line of scribing laser systems, designed for coding applications.

The S-Series, which includes the S100, S200 and S300 models offers a complete range of print and speed capabilities and has been developed to offer a simple, compact coding machine with what is claimed to be the smallest laser head.

Using CO2 laser technology, the S-Series produces permanent marking of text, graphics and variable data on a variety of substrates such as paper, plastic, glass and cartons.

Domino will also be demonstrating the Product Traceability System, (PTS).

It is said to meet the different requirements of the EAN UCC for barcode standards and conforms to the RFID mandate, currently being introduced by major retailers.

It provides bar coding and RFID encoding plus validation of both codes.

Thanks to the capability of separate RFID tag and barcode validation, it is said to be possible to provide different levels of information in each.

It is a modular, non-contact system that that allows either code to be placed in the position of choice in just over one-metre of conveyor length said the company.

Visitors will have the chance to see Domino's C-Series of high-resolution large character inkjet printers.

The C-Series machines use Piezo technology to print barcodes, text and graphics on to porous substrates, such as corrugated outer cases, trays and sacks.

Domino will demonstrate its focus in key market sectors and ability to offer a range of systems according to specific requirements.

In food and confectionery, the company offers a range of coding machines that print directly on to food and food packaging.

They are claimed to integrate in to existing lines and comply with FDA, MAFF and EEC regulations.

Typical applications include eggs, PET, flexible packs, flow wrap, cartons, cans and corrugated outer cases.

In addition to its A-Series continuous ink jet printers, Interpack will see Dominos S300 scribing laser system demonstrate the ability to print on to various substrates including confectionery cartons.

The company added that as a preferred supplier to OEMs and multi-national beverage companies, it understands the specific requirements of the industry.

By working closely with wine, spirits, beer and soft drink suppliers, Domino said it has bought a range of inkjet and laser products to the market that provide reliable, high speed and cost efficient coding options.

Visitors will have the chance to see the A300SE continuous inkjet printer and S200B laser system in demonstrations printing on to PET water bottles, whilst Dominos C-Series printers like the C6000, will demonstrate how the quality of printing for outer cases is achieved.

Domino said it continues to introduce a range of coding systems to meet the specific challenges of the cosmetics and personnel care industry.

Its inkjet and laser products can produce consistent letter quality coding that compliments product design.

The S100 scribing laser, which will demonstrate printing on to cosmetics like lip balm and the C100 and C1000 high-resolution large character ink jet printers, will be displayed along with Dominos entry-level ink jet printer - the A100.

In the pharmaceutical market, there is a range of applications that are claimed to offer 100 per cent verification and consistent quality and reliability.

Inkjet products like the A-Series Pharma and laser variants like the DSL Pharma scribing laser will be on show at Interpack.

Both products can be supplied with validation packs for GAMP and can be used in sites requiring 21-CFR part 11 and they will feature alongside the C1000 and C3000 high-resolution large character inkjet printers.

Commenting on the exhibition, Robert Pulford, Domino's director of the inkjet division, said: "Our inkjet and laser technology continues to set the industry standard for print quality, consistency and reliability.

Interpack is an important event in our exhibition calendar and we look forward to demonstrating our 25 years' of experience at the forefront of coding and marking solutions in front of this important audience." In addition to its own stand, Domino technology will be located on a number of OEM stands.
