Domino Printing Sciences has launched the M-Series, a new range of print and apply technologies, enabling the company to provide a complete range of coding systems.

Domino Printing Sciences has launched the M-Series, a new range of print and apply technologies, enabling the company to provide a complete range of coding systems, including the full compliment of primary, secondary and pallet coding products.

The new M-Series comprises a fully modular system consisting of printers, applicators and accessories, which provide label application flexibility.

Providing accurate information and label placement without compromising production line speeds, the M-Series range ensures maximum productivity, flexibility and profitability, claimed Domino.

Domino's M-Series print and apply systems include thermal transfer and direct thermal label printers, available in left and right hand versions.

They combine with a range of blow, tamp, tamp and blow and wipe label applicators.

The Domino range comprises the M100 Direct Thermal label printers for short life labelling, M200 Thermal Transfer label printers used for a range of print and apply applications and M300 with RFID programming and reading capabilities, together with the M400 OEM variant that integrates third party print engines, and the M600 pallet applicator for printing and applying labels directly on to wrapped pallets.

Any of those printer variants can be combined with any of the range of applicators , added Domino.

Mike Hurst, director of outer case coding at Domino Printing Sciences, said: "The launch of the M-Series range represents a significant addition to Domino's existing outer case coding systems.

It now enables us to offer the full coding technology spectrum spanning the entire range of primary, secondary and pallet coding, capable of meeting every customer requirement for printing variable data, text, graphics and RFID data on to outer cases." He added: "As with all Domino technologies, the M-Series range has been designed and manufactured to the highest standards and benefits from the usual after sales service and support that is synonymous with the Domino brand.

Furthermore, the standard configurations within the M-Series offer the widest range of products and systems within the print and apply sector for a vast range of applications, whilst its fully flexible modular approach ensures that the individual requirement is not compromised." It is claimed that the M-Series can be integrated in to existing production lines, offering the printing of GS1 compliant bar codes, text and graphics to ensure supply chain compliance.

Designed to meet Domino's commitment to supporting lean manufacturing processes and overall equipment effectiveness, the M-Series has been developed to maximise production output with minimum disruption, claimed the company.

Its label selection ensures operator independence, whilst the combination of large label and ribbon capacity, optional sensors to alert operators when consumables are low and straight forward label and ribbon paths, all allow for managed intervention, minimal downtime and therefore, an enhanced and efficient production throughput, added the company.

The M-Series range includes a printer control unit with an informative operator interface with both USB and RS232 connections as standard and with optional Ethernet.

It is complemented by a range of accessories, such as handheld terminals, fully adjustable stands, beacons and bar code validation scanners.

Mike Hurst explained: "The new M-Series is based on Domino's ethos and commitment to continually evolve its products in-line with manufacturer's requirements, enabling us to continue to supply them with the tools that have a positive impact on the measured performance of their production.".
