Total Variable Data Ink Jet Printing On Show
The commercial printing division of Domino, will exhibit the latest product from its range of variable data print systems at Labelexpo Americas - the ON Demand system.
As a result, the Plus programme aligns itself to the focus on lean manufacturing methods, employed by customers to achieve world class productivity and increased profitability, added the company.
Taking centre stage on Domino's stand at the Total Show, the new M-Series comprises a fully modular system of printers, applicators and accessories, which provide label application flexibility to meet customer requirements for printing variable data, text, graphics and RFID data on to outer cases, claimed Domino.
Providing accurate information and label placement without compromising production line speeds, the M-Series range is said to ensure maximum productivity, flexibility and profitability.
It includes thermal transfer and direct thermal label printers in left and right hand versions.
They combine with a range of blow, tamp, tamp and blow and wipe label applicators.
Simon Cox, Domino UK's general manager, said: "We are delighted to be unveiling two new product ranges in both our M-Series and TTO systems.
The Total Show provides an important arena for Domino to communicate its offerings to the marketplace but with two high-level product launches and the first UK showing of our full Plus programme, this year's event is especially exciting for us and is certain to prove likewise for visitors to Domino's stand." At Total 2007, reflecting the theme of integrated systems, Domino said it will demonstrate how all its coding and marking systems can be linked together, whilst checking and verifying real time data via software and ERP systems, therefore providing 100 per cent traceability throughout the supply chain.
Domino added that it will demonstrate its primary, secondary and pallet coding capabilities, including the ability to apply human readable codes, batch codes, unique 2D data matrix codes and high-resolution logos.
Domino will also demonstrate DSL Laser and A300+ ink jet printing for displaying 2D Data Matrix and batch code information, as well as the C-Series Plus outer-case coding on to both sides of sleeves and boxes using a multihead ink base.
Two C6000+ inkjet heads and bar code validation kit will also be on show.
Simon Cox added: "Domino's ability to deliver intelligent track and trace systems that combine with integrated software systems and an established and proven product range, represents a unique proposition in enabling manufacturers to fulfil vital industry requirements.
By enabling true integrated systems, Domino's offering enhances production line efficiencies, eliminates human error and connects real time data management of products and assets to ERP frameworks.
Crucially, this increases supply chain security and affords manufacturers a key advantage in combating counterfeiting." Total 2007 will also see Domino display its capabilities in the increasingly important area of games management, which provide sales promotion, reader retention and branding differentiation tools for multi-national companies and FMCG brand owners.
Domino said that its ability to provide high speed inkjet printing and management of variable numbers, text and graphics directly on to a host of products, led to the production of a series of successful, high profile promotional campaigns, such as Nestle's 'KitKash' promotion.
