Domino Buys Thermal Transfer Over-Printing Firm

A Domino Printing Sciences plc product story
Edited by the Printingtalk editorial team May 21, 2007

Domino UK has acquired Easyprint's UK distributor, On-Line Coding, which supplies and supports thermal transfer overprinting (TTO) equipment.

The move follows last November's acquisition of Danish thermal transfer overprint technology company Easyprint by its parent Domino Printing Sciences.

On-Line Coding, under its former owners, Richard Judson and Mark Webb, has 20 years' experience in the thermal transfer over printing market and the company has served as Easyprint's UK distributor for the past seven years.

Judson and Webb will join the Domino UK team as the company's UK TTO specialists and On-Line Coding's Reading facility will become a centre of excellence to promote the technology, added Domino.

Domino UK general manager, Simon Cox, said that the acquisition underlines Domino's commitment to TTO, a technology that the company added to its portfolio with the acquisition of Easyprint.

He commented: "The Group's purchase of Easyprint was a significant step in our mission to provide a comprehensive range of coding technologies and sysytems.

We also recognise that the people involved in a successful business are at least as important as the technology it provides.

With On-Line Coding as part of Domino UK, existing Easyprint users will continue to benefit from the expertise of the On-Line Coding team, as well as having access to the extensive after sales service and support offered by Domino as part of our Totalcare programme.

We're delighted to welcome Richard, Mark and the team on board.".
