Domino's Inkjet Finds Niche With Software Printer
Beshara Press, the niche printing company for the software publishing industry, has invested in a Domino A400 to produce unique numbers on the back cover of manuals.
In addition, the UV55BK promises reliable operation in both the K100 and K200 print heads.
The higher print quality on a wide range of substrates is a result of the improved wetting formulation of the UV55BK ink.
Printed droplets are able to flow more freely between printing and curing, resulting in smoother edges and denser solid areas.
The nature of the ink also allows a higher degree of flexibility to optimise print head settings, such as pulse width and firing voltage, in order to tailor droplet formulation according to the particular substrate.
As well as improving the efficiency of Domino's K-Series through reduced curing times, the UV55BK ink has been proven to perform well in ambient temperatures in the range of 16 to 30degC, where these printers are typically situated.
The superior performance is aided by the K-Series heated print head which is maintained at a higher temperature than ambient conditions.
Andrew Gunton, product manager - Fluids, Ink Jet Business Unit for Domino UK , says "By working closely with our customers we have been able to identify a requirement for an enhanced UV-cure black ink, which will not only increase the versatility and efficiency of the K-Series, but also provides customers with new opportunities and greater applications on a wider range of substrates".
