Domino takes over PAT's air cleaning business

Domino Printing Sciences has acquired, through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Purex North America, the air-cleaning business of PAT Technology Systems for CAD2.1m (GBP1.1m).

Deferred consideration is also payable based on operating profit for the financial year ending October 31 2010, subject to a maximum payment of CAD600,000 (GBP300,000).

The acquired business designs, manufactures and supplies air-cleaning equipment for the printing industry and will be integrated with Purex's existing North American fume extraction business.

The combined business will operate under the name Purex North America and will be based in Quebec.

Wayne Baird, co-founder and chief executive officer of PAT Technology Systems, will manage the combined business and will report to Paul Priestley, the managing director of Purex International.
