New Humidification System For Digital
Printing
Duopur is a new double-function humidification system from Draabe Humidification that is claimed to be suitable for the economic and technical requirements of the digital printing sector.
Draabe Humidification said that Duopur is designed for rooms with low humidity requirements, such as CTP areas and small printing establishments, as well as for digital printing firms Duopur will be introduced at the Drupa 2008 exhibition in Dusseldorf (Germany) between May 29 - June 11 on stand 16D43 in hall 16

Optimal humidity levels bring real benefits because its avoids paper curl or static build-up, reduced spoilage and dust, according to Draabe.
Air Humidification Cuts Static Electricity Problem
Draabe has installed an air humidification system at Battlefield Graphics, a general commercial printer in Burlington, Ontario (Canada).
The company said that the system includes a new multi-functional water treatment system, a new generation of high-pressure atomiser and a digital control in a three-part complete package that also features all maintenance and service requirements.
Draabe added that the key feature of Duopur is the multi-functional high-pressure water treatment system.
The module integrates the water treatment process required for high-pressure humidification and the high-pressure pump in one device.
The installation, investment and operating costs of the system will be reduced to a minimum by the high-pressure technology compared with traditional high pressure systems with separate water treatment.
The company commented that, as with the other Draabe products, the system is installed in a portable container, which is exchanged automatically by the manufacturer every six months for a completely serviced and disinfected module.
The complete system includes Daabe's Nanofog atomiser generation, which sprays the water treated by Duopur directly in to the room selected for humidification.
Up to four Nanofog high-pressure atomisers with a claimed maximum overall humidification output of 26.4lbs (or 12kg) of water per hour can be supplied by one Duopur high-pressure water treatment system.
It is claimed that with nano-nozzle technology, the atomisers are hardly audible and fulfill the requirements of noise-sensitive production areas and workstations.
The desired air humidity is controlled by the new digital control Humspot, which measures the humidity in the room selected for humidification, displays the current status and activates the atomiser as required.
