To ensure its exclusive rights to the VSOP (variable sleeve offset printing) technology, Drent Goebel has secured patents in Europe and North America.
At first Janus Technologies will only handle the sales representation for the entire United Kingdom and Ireland.
The sales of spare parts and the coordination of service will still be done from the head-office in Eerbeek, (Netherlands) said the company's statement.
"In the future we will also transfer spares and service to Janus but for now it is in the interests of both companies to work in this way.
We both want what is best for our customers and think this is the way," said Rob Schellekens, director of marketing and sales at Drent Goebel.
Manchester (UK) based Janus Technologies is the UK and Eire agent for some of the most well known and respected machinery manufacturers in the graphic arts industry.
Janus currently operates in the newspaper printing, book printing and special product markets said Drent Goebel.
Janus is also in the process of creating a flexible packaging division, which will focus wholly on serving the needs of companies in that sector.
"We are by nature a very pro-active company and look forward to introducing the exiting new technology from Drent Goebel to customers in this sector.
Our philosophy is to work closely with our customers to help them create new applications and opportunities," said Janus Technologies' managing director, Steve Cathie.
Drent Goebel has specialised in the development, production and worldwide supply of customized variable size web printing press systems.
The different presses is offers serve customers in a wide variety of markets, from direct mail, commercial printing and business form markets to cardboard, label and flexible packaging.
Custom made machines, even for specialised markets such as banknote printing and stamp printing can be designed and built on demand said the company.
