To ensure its exclusive rights to the VSOP (variable sleeve offset printing) technology, Drent Goebel has secured patents in Europe and North America.
At first Janus Technologies will only handle the sales representation for the United Kingdom and Ireland.
The sales of spare parts and the coordination of service will still be done from the head-office in Eerbeek (The Netherlands).
Rob Schellekens, the director of marketing and sales at Drent Goebel, said: "In the future we will also transfer spares and service to Janus but for now it is in the interests of both companies to work in this way.
We both want what is best for our customers and think this is the way." Manchester based Janus Technologies is the UK and Eire agent for other machinery manufacturers.
Janus currently operates in the newspaper printing, book printing and special products markets.
the company is in the process of creating a flexible packaging division, which will focus wholly on serving the needs of companies in that sector.
