Drupa Stages Show Tours To Ease Visitors' Path
Messe Dusseldorf and Deutscher Drucker Verlag are offering conducted tours, which focus on specific subject areas to make it easier for visitors to the Drupa 2004 to gain an overview.
Each session is devoted to a different theme.
As well as providing information, the Compass Sessions also offer a frame of reference and a meeting point to meet colleagues and exchange news and views, added the organisers.
The Compass Sessions are organised by Print and Media Forum and will take place in the Congress Centre Dusseldorf East at the Dusseldorf Trade Fair Centre in Germany.
The programme is said to be diverse with themes ranging from digital and inkjet printing through to offset printing, pre-media and web-to-print systems to digital workflows and packaging printing.
In their role as navigational aids, the first ever Compass Sessions at Drupa 2004 were an instant success, said Drupa project director, Manuel Matare.
Matare said: "This modular system gives our visitors the opportunity to put together a personalised package and thus get the most out of the expertise on offer." And Bernd Adam of Print and Media Forum, commented: "We were highly satisfied and had over 500 participants over the 11-day programme in 2004.
It was also great to see the international profile of participants - more than half were from abroad." Altogether, 39 speakers from five countries addressed nine themes, covering a range of material, he added.
Demand was especially strong on the days dedicated to JDF and networked production, offset printing as well as pre-press.
