Colour Direct Mail Will Reverse Response Decline
The positive impact that colour print can have on direct mail marketing and communications is discussed by Tim Delahay, the chief executive officer of DSTi Output.
The machine is said to be the first of its kind in the world and is a result of the close development partnership formed between DSTi Output and Kodak in the past three years.
DSTi Output said that it now has a capacity in excess of 2,500 feet per minute at the Bristol site, where two further sheet fed Xerox 6060 printers were also installed earlier this year.
The company's chief executive officer, Tim Delahay, said: "This confirms our continuing commitment to investment in innovative technology and, in particular, our pioneering of this highly effective communication channel.
With the fast pace of technological change I'm genuinely bewildered by the number of companies still being forced to use traditional print and mail facilities.
Going digital is hardly a revolution but doing it well is an art." The Kodak Versamark printer, represents an additional £4 million spend by DSTi Output, which also recently announced a £20 million investment on a second production site in the Midlands.
Delahay continued: "The key is intelligent software to drive both product and service levels to new heights.
With Hi Output we offer 100 per cent service levels, which is an industry first and variable full colour messaging through a white paper system.
That combination delivers an amazing and genuine one to one marketing tool generating new revenues from a much, much lower cost base.
It's a win - win situation and those who embrace this opportunity will surely reap the rewards.".
