Automatic Gravure Imposition For Cylinder Making
Dalim Software and Hell Gravure Systems have released Helioflow, an interface that is claimed to provide the first 'intuitive', automatic gravure imposition tool.
Claimed to be the only such system available under the Macintosh OS X operating system, the stand-alone application enables remote and collaborative viewing and soft proofing of high-resolution files (such as PDF, PDF/X, PostScript, CT/LW, TIFF, etc) via the Internet.
Utilising data-streaming technology to standard web-browsers, users view high-resolution files in real time without the need for client software.
Customers zoom, navigate, place virtual notes, take densitometer readings, and can 'chat' in real time.
Dalim Printempo version two will be launched.
The browser-based JDF-enabled print production system can be used by a printer using any common web browser, on any client platform, to monitor the status of the production of pages and trigger actions such as the generation of plates or proofs.
This system can also automate production of imposed pages via JDF, which gives sheet and web-offset printers an extremely powerful tool to manage their businesses more efficiently and more profitably.
It is said to be compatible with users' existing systems.
On show will be Dalim Mistral, the web-based production management system that is both the common electronic submission interface for production assembly and the interface for subsequent production tracking, administration, correction, approval and printing.
The system is said to allow all parties involved in the development of publishable material to have a single, common electronic interface to obtain information on the development of the project in real time and from any remote location.
JDF compliance is a central component to Mistral, allowing tasks such as advanced job ticketing, imposition, and pre-flighting.
Dalim Software's stand at Drupa is B62 in hall 9.
