At Graph Expo 2006, Dalim Software will present the its open, scalable and flexible suite of graphic arts production workflow tools The company said that the products can be configured to suit the multi-format, multi-site, high productivity and high quality requirements of sophisticated pre-media, printing, packaging and publishing operations

Dalim Software said it will show the flexibility and productivity of its latest JDF-enabled software for browser-based soft-proofing, planning and edition management.

The latest version of the Twist 'intelligent' automated workflow software is claimed to already be 100 per cent compliant with all nine Ghent Workgroup PDF output as well as Pass4Press v6 specifications.

Graph Expo will see the launch of a number of new features and enhancements to Twist, such as XML-driven production workflows and JDF-driven file pre-flighting.

The SWOP-certified Dialogue, stand-alone softproofing system for Mac OS X will also be on show.

It is said to enable remote and collaborative viewing and soft proofing of high-resolution files (such as PDF, PDF/X, PostScript, CT/LW, TIFF) in real time via a standard internet connection, without any click charges, ASP fees or client licensing.

Dalim claimed that Dialogue is the industry's first JDF-enabled soft-proofing application and that it integrates with a number of third party systems.

On show will also be new features in Mistral, the web-based production management system that is the common electronic submission interface for production assembly and the interface for subsequent production tracking, administration, correction, approval and printing.

Enhanced features include greater integration with third party publication and MIS systems, advanced versioning and advertising management capabilities and further workflow enhancements.

A new version of Mistralpack will also be released at Graph Expo.

Miistralpack is a dedicated version designed specifically for the packaging industry.

The new version adds new job tracking features and an on-ine placement interface using JDF cutting form data.

The Printempo print production system can be used by a printer or client using a common web browser to monitor the status of the production of pages and trigger actions such as the generation of plates or proofs.

Graph Expo will see enhanced print deadline management tools, greater interconnectivity with third party digital asset management (DAM) and MIS systems and flatplan management features.

Gee Ranasinha, Dalim Software's director of marketing, commented: "Dalim Software continues to assure that it utilises technology that is as advanced as any production automation system on the market.

We can demonstrate JDF enabled systems, efficient generation of PDF files and SWOP-certified virtual color-matched proofing." She added: "However, where we find a significant advantage is when users see how elegantly simple our software is to operate.

Our systems are graphically intuitive and the last thing a print buyer wants to do is wade through a difficult web-based system to submit pages on to a signature, or to learn the status of a job.

Our print customers tell us that they sell new print buyers on the basis of the collaborative tools we can provide.".
