The company's new SCC slit, cut and crease booklet-making system for the digital print sector will be showcased for the first time in the UK at the show.

The system can bring a slit, cut and crease function to the near-line booklet-making process and comprises a DSF-2000 sheet-feeder and SCC module in-line to Duplo's flagship System 5000.

Also facing its UK debut at Northprint will be the DBM-2KT two-knife trimmer.

The product provides a modular approach to trimming all open sides of a booklet and can be added after the standard face trimmer to trim the head and foot of booklets before delivering them on to a conveyor back to the operator said Duplo.

Aimed at the offset market, the DBM-2KT will be shown with a second System 5000 booklet-maker and two DC-10/60 collator towers.

Also on show will be Duplo's DC-545HCEX digital finishing machine and its bigger brother the new heavy duty DC-645 - said to be capable of one pass slit, crease and trim for weights of up to 350gsm.

Both the DC-545HCEX and DC-645 are claimed to read printed register marks and automatically adjust the tooling to compensate for the common problem of image shift.

They can set up automatically from pre-programmed bar codes to trim, crease and slit in the right place around the image every time, ensuring high quality and optimum productivity, claimed Duplo.

The DC-645 can also handle larger sheet sizes and process a six page A4 brochure in one pass.

The stand will also feature the new high volume DCM-45/75 scoring and perforating machine, an automated MR720i perfect binder, a table top DB-200 perfect binder, and a PFI 490 guillotine.

The company's Mini Print Room products - a range of systems designed for the small inplant sector including Duprinters, desktop folding machines, numbering machines and mini-collating systems ? will also be demonstrated.
