To speed up post-print production and improve quality at the finishing stage, Berkshire (UK) commercial printer Apple Print has invested in Duplo's new DCM-45/75 creaser and perforator.

Apple, already a Duplo customer having previously invested in a Duplo System 4000 bookletmaker, was looking to replace its aging creasing machine with a faster model that would help improve the overall performance and turn-around of its finishing service.

John Proudfoot, director, said: "We looked at many machines and found the DCM-45/75 had the potential to provide the best results, most efficiently.

With the systems' ability to fold 30,000 A4 sheets per hour - regardless of the amount of creases it is required to make - it performs at almost three times the speed of the its nearest competitor.

Because of this, we will be able to reliably meet customer deadlines and improve profit through increasing the amount of finished work we produce.".
