Duplo's UK marketing manager, Peter Jolly, said: "We are so pleased to have ended the year on such a positive note.
Running the new Slit, Cut and Crease (SCC) unit in-line with our near-line bookletmaker at DPW was a definite crowd-puller at the event.
The SCC unit eliminates the need for guillotining and creasing printed pages prior to bookletmaking, increasing production efficiency.
It was one of our most exciting product launches of the year." Another new product for Duplo was its multifunctional MKF 35 Modular Knife Folder, shown for the first time at DPW.
Visitors were also attracted to demonstrations of Duplo's range of digital finishing systems, including its DC-645 production colour finisher and the DCM-45/75 creaser and perforator.
"Our digital portfolio is designed to provide adaptable, profitable short runs and fast job change-overs and has proved extremely popular with customers due to the positive impact it has on their businesses," commented Jolly.
"Winning the prize for bringing in the highest number of visitors is an encouraging indication that our digital finishing equipment provides the industry with unbeatable, cutting edge technology that sets the standard for quality and speed.
We look forward to celebrating similar successes in 2006," he added.
