Duplo representatives and a team from Krug and Priester in Germany, led by Ideal's Hubert Haizmann, will be on stand B20 in hall 3, to talk about the debut of the programmable guillotine.
"This is a powerful new product from Ideal.
It has been targeted at the small to medium commercial printer and in-house printer, and I'm sure it will attract a lot of plaudits," said Tony Hills, UK wholesale manager of Duplo International.
He continued: "The main advantage of the hydraulics is that the action is faster, so more cuts cam be made per minute.
And the clamp is infinitely variable in pressure, which makes it much easier to handle delicate digital work." He explained that in programming terms, the new model has been made more effective and is more of a professional machine than its non-hydraulic predecessor.
The electronic control unit for the backgauge stores 40 programs of up to 36 steps each, and up to nine repeat measurements can be integrated in one program step, offering improved productivity, he added, whilst the air beds on the front and rear tables also come as standard whereas they cost extra on previous models.
Other features on the new Ideal 7228-06 LT hydraulic guillotine include a snap-in false clamp plate to spread the pressure over a wider surface area of the work and a self diagnostic system within the electronics, which indicates if anything is not working as it should.
Cutting length is 720mm and cutting height is 80mm.
Tony Hills said: "This machine is fast, quiet and has an extra large programming capacity, all of which offer major benefits in a busy print environment.".
