According to Duplo, the first six days of Ipex 2006 saw unprecedented sales spanning the portfolio of Ideal power guillotines with the 7228-06 LT hydraulic guillotine, launched worldwide at the show, being a particular success.

Duplo's Ipex stand saw orders for Ideal's 6550-95 EP programmable guillotine from the UK veterinary charity PDSA, and for Ideal's 7228-06 LT hydraulic guillotine from Topfoto, Hereford, and Four Limited, London.

Topfoto also purchased Duplo's DC-645 production colour finisher.

James Clark, publications manager at PDSA, said: "The Ideal 6550-95 EP, which will replace our existing Ideal 5221 guillotine, will enhance and increase our output as it has a range of pre-set programmable options that help automate our processes.

It is also capable of cutting lengths of up to 650mm, which will allow us to guillotine a wider scope of materials." Ideal's 7228-06 LT hydraulic machine, which like the 6550-95 EP also offers a series of programmable options, is claimed to provide a value for money air-bed system that allows the operator to make more cuts per minute.

The guillotine processes jobs at a much faster rate and has the advantage of improving productivity levels for the owner, said Duplo.

Harald Kaiser, export manager from Ideal said he was delighted with the success that Duplo has already achieved so early in the partnership.
