Salisbury (UK) Sarum Graphics has doubled output after upgrading its existing Duplo set-up with the System 3000 bookletmaking and collating system.

Established in 1979, Sarum Graphics offers customers design, print and finishing services to produce a range of work from flyers and leaflets to brochures and more complex publicity material.

Sarum director, Paul Osborn, commented: "We have been very happy with the reliability of our existing Duplo system and the customer service we have received has been second to none.

However, having recently experienced a significant upturn in the demand for finished work, we simply out grew our existing model." He added: "The System 3000 allows us to provide customers with a much faster turn-around and has significantly boosted our production levels, without the need for recruiting or training new staff.

By keeping all our services in-house we are able to provide a prompt and efficient service whilst becoming even more competitive on price." The System 3000 from Duplo is claimed to be capable of finishing sheet sizes from 120mm x 170mm up to 230mm x 450mm at up to 3,600 books per hour.

The device includes the DC-8/32 collating tower and offers heavy duty bookletmaking with automated adjustment of the stitch and fold section, for high productivity.
