Bookletmakers On Show At New Showroom's Event

Duplo International has invested more than GBP20,000 in a new purpose built, 1,100 square foot showroom, following increasing sales in the northern England region.

Duplo will celebrate the new Warrington showroom with an open house event from March 6-8.

For customers in the south of England, there will be a separate event at the refurbished showroom in Esher, Surrey from March 20-22.

With double the floor space of the old showroom, Duplo will use the Warrington open house to demonstrate the System 5000 complete bookletmaking system, that is said to be capable of producing 5,000 books per hour.

The DC-645 production colour finisher will also be on display.

Other products on show will include the DSF-2000 nearline bookletmaker, that the company said is specifically designed for the needs of digital printers and a variety of high-end Ideal guillotines.

Also on-site throughout the day will be a representative from the British Printing Industries Federation (BPIF) to offer print-specific business advice and to answer any questions.

Eddie Savage, Duplo's northern region business manager, commented: "As our product portfolio has increased, so has the demand for demonstrations.

It was clear to us that with sales figures up 25 per cent on last year, we needed more floor space to demonstrate our wide range of traditional offset and digital products and provide a relaxed atmosphere for our customers at the same time.

We're thrilled with the results and look forward to welcoming new and existing customers to our event, when we'll be demonstrating how they can offer added value and increase their profitability by re-evaluating their finishing options." Duplo said that its team of finishing specialists will be on hand throughout the event to answer questions and conduct product demonstrations.

Printers will also have the opportunity to test the equipment by finishing their own samples.

Refurbished last year, the southern England showroom hosts a spectrum of Duplo products, including offset and digital reprographic finishing equipment, office products, Ideal guillotines, Foldmaster folders and Uchida drills.
