Booklet maker enables short-run production

A Duplo International product story
Edited by the Printingtalk editorial team Jul 12, 2010

Stralfors has taken delivery of a Duplo Digital System 5000 booklet maker at its Orpington, UK, site, to automate short-run production of digital booklets at speeds of up to 5,000 per hour.

The Duplo 5000 will be used to complete customer applications printed on the company's iGen and Nuvera digital printing machines and will collate, trim, crease, fold and stitch, as well as verifying the accuracy of all variable data.

Stralfors added that it will use the machinery in a number of campaigns for clients in the travel, entertainment and financial-services markets.

First trials on personalised digital booklets, including variable data and images, have been completed successfully.
