The new units format also compliment Baumgardt's other Encad printers, which include the Novajet 850 and 880.

The Novajet 1000i prints at claimed speeds of up to 14 square metres (150 square feet) per hour in its high quality productivity mode and is the fastest printer in its class, claimed Encad.
The company has introduced a new, 640-nozzle print head and a new dynamic print masking technique, Intelligent Mask Technology (IMT) to deliver high speeds.
In addition, it uses a dual component rapid evaporation drying system to enable take-up at full speed with a wide assortment of Kodak media.
The wide-format printer will be exhibited at the Photokina 2004 - World of Imaging Exhibition, to be held in Cologne (Germany) from September 28 to October 3.
The show will also see Encad will also exhibit an extensive range of Kodak wide-format inkjet media including photographic papers, coated print papers, films, specialty media, vinyls and laminates.
