Encad will showcase its Novajet 1000i wide-format printer at the Photokina 2004 - World of Imaging Exhibition, to be held in Cologne (Germany) from September 28-October 3.

Encad will showcase its Novajet 1000i wide-format printer at the Photokina 2004 - World of Imaging Exhibition, to be held in Cologne (Germany) from September 28-October 3 The printer will also be demonstrated on Encad's stand in the Kodak Hall (Hall 4)

Photokina 2004 will also see Encad will also exhibit an extensive range of Kodak wide-format inkjet media including photographic papers, coated print papers, films, specialty media, vinyls and laminates.

The media is guaranteed under a performance guarantee for use on the most popular piezo and thermal inkjet wide-format printers, including Hewlett-Packard, Encad and Epson.

The Novajet 1000i prints at claimed speeds of up to 14 square metres (150 square feet) per hour in its high quality productivity mode and the company believes it is the fastest printer in its class.

Encad said it has introduced a 640-nozzle print head and a print masking technique, Intelligent Mask Technology (IMT) to deliver high speeds with exceptional image quality.

The printer uses a dual component rapid evaporation drying system to enable take-up at full speed with a wide assortment of Kodak media.
