The purpose-designed new UK offices of Encad were opened yesterday by the Mayor of Hemel Hempstead.

The office building, is Encad's headquarters for Europe, the Middle East and Africa and provides a modern, hi-tech environment for the Encad team, headed up by Martin Birch, Encad's EAMER general manager.

Birch said: "Whilst our previous premises in Hemel Hempstead's town centre are famous for having been Kodak's UK HQ for several decades, we are thrilled with our new offices at Hemel One, which have been custom-designed to suit our needs.

We feel that the new environment we now have the pleasure of working in fits very well with our forward-looking ethos.

We are also delighted to be working alongside our colleagues within Document Imaging, a sister company of ours within the Kodak GCG T and I S group." The Encad offices will incorporate a dedicated demonstration room, where visitors will be able to gain first-hand experience of products, such as the flagship Kodak 1200i wide-format inkjet printer.

Training courses will be conducted there for distributors and end-users, tailored to their individual needs.

As well as modules covering printer capability, training sessions will also cover how to achieve optimum results using Kodak quantum inks and Kodak wide-format inkjet media.
